TROPHY HISTORY

Starting in 1979, the BBI awarded a trophy to the overall winner and his name was added to the plate on the base of the trophy. He held that trophy until the following year’s winner was crowned. This continued through 1998. The trophy was so cumbersome and getting worn from so much travel so we “retired” the trophy in lieu of plaques. From 1999 through 2005, plaques were awarded. Starting in 2006 we decided to award BBI “wind shirts” to the Champion and each flight winner. This had been a very popular change. In 2017, we began awarding Glass Trophies to our winner’s (4 1/2” x 2” x 2”) that has a 3-D “golfer”  inside it. This too has been a very popular change.
